OUR FIRST Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

November started out with Ryan recieving the calling of Membership Clerk. He recieves new membership records and makes sure all the members are fellowshipped. Not soon after Cara and I got married, we had to figure out what we would do for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We decided that we would go down to Boulder City for Thanksgiving and go up to Montana for Christmas. We drove the seven and a half hours to Boulder City on the Wednesday before turkey day. We had a wonderful time with the Hardy family. On Thanksgiving after dinner, we went to the theater and saw the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. Black Friday morning, Mom, Cara and I went to the outlet mall for the sales. It was madness: it took us at least 20 minutes just to find a parking spot. On Saturday, Cara and I hung out with her sister and brother-in-law, Staci and Jarrett. That night we had dinner at Cara's dad's house. All in all, it was a great first Thanksgiving as husband and wife.

Once we were back in Reno, Cara and I started putting up Christmas decorations. Dane and Delyse let us have their Christmas tree, so we set that up in the living room, along with other decorations. We went to Ryan's work party one evening; we didn't have anything to eat before thinking there would be good food at the party. However, I forgot that I work at a nutrition center, so all of the food there was weird and gross. So Cara and I stopped by Burger King, our favorite, to get some real food.

On the 20th, Cara and I flew down to Vegas and stayed the night at Staci and Jarrett's. The next day the four of us flew to Kalispell, Montana. Dad Kerr greeted us at the airport with a "Welcome home for Christmas" sign. We then drove to Big Fork, where Mom and Dad Kerr recently moved. On Tuesday, everyone except Cara and Mom Kerr went to Big Mountain to ski and snowboard. We had an awesome time going down the slopes. Jarrett, John, and Ryan also went off some jumps and rails. The next day, we went snowboarding again while Cara and Mom got a facial and massage at the resort's spa. That night we had a Christmas Eve dinner and then program. We sang some Christmas songs and showed our talents, and read the story of Christ's birth.
Christmas day in Montana was the second white Christmas that Ryan has had. It was really nice to watch the snow fall outside. We all gathered in the family room to open our presents from Santa and family. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying each others company. Friday was our last day in Montana, but we didn't want to leave. We had such a fun time enjoying the country and our family.

New Year's Eve found Cara and I with the Lacows, the Bowens and the Smiths (friends from our ward) at the bowling alley. When we got back to the Lacow's, there were only 10 seconds left till the new year. So we rushed in the house to watch the ball drop, and give our first New Years kiss.

The Sunday after Christmas, Cara recieved the calling to be the second counselor in the Young Women's organization. She supervises the Beehives, the 12-13 year olds. Currently, Cara and I are getting ready to go back to school, working and living the married life. We love all of our family and are grateful for all the support that they give us.
